Basic Mending | July 11
Join us for a class on basic mending for repairing clothes with the City Sewing Room.

Taste of Knitting - Learn How to Knit | July 12
Join us to learn how to knit! An instructor from the Greater St. Louis Knitter's Guild will be present to teach how to knit. All experience levels welcome to beginners & advanced!

Salt and Sugar Scrub Craft | July 25
Join us to make your own salt and/or sugar scrub as part of our Urban Homesteading Summer Series. Supplies will be provided.

Using Native Plants in your Urban Yard | July 27
Learn about how and why to start using native plants in your yard. This class is taught by one of the owners of a locally owned plant nursery, River City Natives.

Carnivorous Plants 101 | July 30
Join us as we delve into the fascinating world of carnivorous plants and their intricate relationships with their environments. A hands-on segment at the end will offer participants the opportunity to examine live carnivorous plants up close.

Winter Gardening and Overwintering Crops | August 6
Although it is generally thought of as the dormant season, it is entirely possible to harvest fresh food from your garden in the winter and early spring. However, to do that you need to plant those crops in the fall. Dean Gunderson, Director of Education at Seed St. Louis will cover what plants you can plant now to extend your harvest so you can eat fresh vegetables all year long.

Canning and Preservation 101 |August 9
Join us for a class about canning and preservation with Cassidy Warne, a field specialist in nutrition and health for the MU Extension.

Join us for a class about advanced chicken tending! Presented by Second Hen'd, a nonprofit that rehabilitates hens and gives them new homes.
