Brainfuse HelpNow Online Learning Library Card Required.

Brainfuse HelpNow provides free online homework help and one-on-one tutors for grades K-12 and adult learners. Live tutors are available every day from 2pm-11pm. Video content and other resources are also available 24 hours a day. Receive personalized assistance in core subjects, including: math, reading, writing, science, social studies).

Features include:
-Live Tutoring: Select your grade and subject to begin
-Writing Lab: Upload a document or essay and get feedback within one business day
-SkillSurfer: Test prep and skill-building
-Send Question: Ask the tutors for assistance outside tutoring hours and receive a reply within one business day.
-Language Lab: Live practice for learning Spanish
-Tutoring in Spanish is available for many subjects
 
How to use Brainfuse:
-Students communicate with live tutors via an interactive whiteboard to chat, write, draw, copy/paste text or images and graph homework questions
-All live sessions are saved and can be replayed as well as shared with friends and teachers by email
-Registration is not required for live tutoring help, but it is recommended so students can track their progress
-Registration is required for certain features, such as Writing Lab and SkillSurfer

Brainfuse JobNow Online Learning

Brainfuse JobNow provides support for every step of the job search process. Live coaching from Brainfuse experts is available every day from 2pm-11pm.
 
Features include:
-Resume assistance and cover letter assistance from live experts
-Resume resources and templates
-Use the Resume Lab to submit your resume and cover letter for proofreading and feedback
-Interview coaching from live experts
-Interview tips
-Meet online with a live job coach for expert assistance with searching, applying, and preparing for jobs

Gale Courses Online Learning Library Card Required.

Interactive, instructor-led online courses covering a wide range of topics. Free for cardholders. New six week courses start on the second Wednesday of every month.

  • Please read the syllabus and course requirements carefully prior to enrolling, as SLPL cannot drop or transfer you from a course.
  • If you don't visit the week 2 class of a course within 13 days of the start of the course, you are automatically dropped from the course. There is no penalty for dropped courses. You can enroll for the same course again in the next six-week session.
  • You are allowed one, 10-day extension after the final exam due date to finish your course. SLPL cannot provide additional extensions.
