Our Buder, Carpenter, Central, Julia Davis and Schlafly locations are official Passport Acceptance Facilities for the U.S. Department of State.

Please see the State Department website for more information. Our facility cannot process an application that is going through a third party unless you are traveling within 14 calendar days. Please allow an additional 30 minutes per application for hand-carry services.

Fees
Application Fee and any additional services fees. Fees can be determined by visiting the fees page on travel.state.gov. Payment for the application fee must be paid by a check, money order or cashiers check payable to the U.S. Department of State. Adult Applicants Fee (Age 16 and over)
Passport Book: $130
Passport Card: $30
Passport Book & Card: $160 Child Applicants Fee (Age 15 and younger)
Passport Book: $100
Passport Card: $15
Passport Book & Card: $115 Expedited service costs an additional $60. Two-day delivery of a passport from the state department is an additional $21.36. The execution (acceptance) fee per applicant is $35. This fee is separate from the application fee and can be paid by cash, check, or card.

Online Passport Renewal (OPR) is now available to the American public. Applicants who meet the requirements can now renew their passports online at their convenience and from the comfort of their own home. Applicants can see a full list of requirements at travel.state.gov/renewonline, opens a new window.

Renewals can also be done by mail. You do not need an agent to execute the application, but the library can help walk you through the process.

* Children under 16:
Parent(s) and child listed on the birth certificate must be present at the passport appointment. If there is a circumstance where one parent cannot be present please speak with an acceptance agent for further instructions.

How long does it take to get my passport?

  • Routine service can take 4-6 weeks from the day an application is submitted to the day a new passport is received.
  • Expedited service (for an additional $60) can take 2-3 weeks from the day an application is submitted to the day a new passport is received.

What to bring with you to your passport appointment:
1. Form DS-11
2. Proof of Citizenship
* Original birth certificate, Certificate of Naturalization or undamaged U.S. passport book or card. (Originals must be sent with your application and will be returned after your passport is issued.)
* Paper copy of proof of citizenship
3. Present ID
* Missouri Drivers License, work ID, student ID or social security card
* Front and back paper copy of ID
4. Photo
* Check the photo guidelines at travel.state.gov/passport to make sure your photo meets the requirements. The Buder, Carpenter & Central locations have a self-serve photo booth that charges $12.99 for passport photos. It only accepts credit or debit cards and is not suited for young children.
