Visit Central Library and become a world traveler!
In honor of Welcoming Week, opens a new window, which welcomes immigrants and refugees into the community and celebrates the diversity of world cultures, St. Louis Public Library staff would like to take you around the world with the Passport Zine program.
During the month of September, visit Central Library (1301 Olive Street), pick up a passport zine and start the journey. Each room is a different country and features book displays, craft activities, information about the customs and culture of that area and more. Visitors will receive a special passport stamp from every room. This exciting program will allow visitors not only to learn about different countries, but also have the opportunity to explore the amazing resources and collections at Central Library.
Every public space at Central is participating. The inside of the passport zine will serve as a map. The countries include: Australia, Bahamas, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil,Canada, China, Cuba, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Russia, Thailand and United Kingdom.
