Faces Not Forgotten Quilts

The St. Louis Public Library will display quilts from the Faces Not Forgotten traveling art exhibit throughout the month of October at Buder, Central, and Julia Davis locations.

Founded by Christine Ilewski, Faces Not Forgotten is a traveling art installation featuring portraits of young victims that raises awareness of gun violence in the U.S. In 2012, artist Christine Ilewski began painting portraits of young victims and transferring them onto quilts for display.

The display at three SLPL locations will run October 1-31, during normal library hours.

The quilts can be seen on the first and second floors of Buder Library, 4401 Hampton Ave., on the first floor of Central Library, 1301 Olive Street, and in the Children's area at Julia Davis Library.
