Carpenter Library will be closed Monday, May 5 - Wednesday, May 7
St. Louis Public Library is continuing to make a major investment in Carpenter Library that will increase the reliability of its building systems while reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs (new LED lighting and HVAC equipment). To complete one of the final phases of this project, Carpenter will be closed Monday, May 5 - Wednesday, May 7. Due to the nature of the work, book drops will not be accessible for returning materials.
NOTE: This closure is weather permitting, and the planned closure could be extended or modified in case of inclement weather.
While Carpenter is closed, we encourage you to visit our Barr, Kingshighway or Buder locations, all of which are less than 4 miles from Carpenter.
If you regularly pick up your Holds at Carpenter, you can choose to switch your pick up location while Carpenter is closed by following the steps outlined below.
NOTE: If you do not change your pick up location by Thursday, May 1, hold item(s) will remain at Carpenter and be unavailable to check out until after we reopen the location.
How to Switch Your Hold Pick Up Location:
- Log in to My SLPL - City using your Library barcode and password.
- Click on your name on the top right of the screen and select "On Hold."
- To the right of each title you have on hold, it says "Pick up at SLPL Carpenter," with a downward facing arrow. Click the arrow to change your pick up location.
