Legal Assistance

Representatives from Legal Services of Eastern Missouri are available from 9 a.m. to noon on the third Thursday of each month at Central Library  to provide free advice and resources,

including:

• Civil Legal Assistance
• Housing Issues
• Youth and Family Advocacy
• Family Law Issues
• Children’s Educational Advocacy

Library staff are not lawyers and cannot provide any information that could be construed as legal advice. Library staff will refer all individuals with legal questions to Legal Services of Eastern Missouri lawyers and advocates during Legal Services of Eastern Missouri's monthly clinic hours.

If a customer believes they are in need of possible legal assistance before the next scheduled clinic, they are encouraged to call Legal Services' main number at 314-534-4200 to speak with an intake worker.
