Do you have an audio project you would like to record in Creative Experience? Have you thought about using the Recording Room but have not known where to start?
Creative Experience offers free small-group and one-on-one Recording Room Orientations to familiarize customers with available equipment and software. In-person trainings are on hiatus due to Covid-19, but the Recording Room has reopened. Now Creative Experience is pleased to offer a Virtual Recording Room Orientation to get you started recording your own music or podcasts.
In this video recorded at Central Library, Creative Experience Resource Specialist Honna Veerkamp leads you through a virtual tour of the Recording Room hardware and software and takes you through the process of recording vocals and getting good sound levels in Pro Tools. While the tutorial is specific to the equipment at Central, distinctions for recording at Barr are also shared.
The program includes a discussion about the pros and cons of the audio-recording software and details about where to find additional learning resources. Watch from home, or book a reservation in the Recording Room at Central or Barr and follow along with the video as you practice.
